Some Halloween Cards

Just a few cards I made to get ready for Halloween! I love this time of year, yet I hate it! I love the changing colors (although they have yet to change here) and the slight, and I mean slight chill in the air. However this means that dreadful winter is on the way. I am not looking forward to another several months of snow! I'm hoping last year won't repeat itself. It was too cold to craft or do much of anything! Well, hope you (someone, anyone!) likes the cards. I am looking forward to Halloween, I want to be the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. No, I'm not that mean, but I have been known to say "off with their heads!"and "I need a pig here!" when speaking to my kids LOL! If you'll notice, I have changed the name of my blog. I felt I didn't want my name on it, nor do I actually "feel" like a "finecrafter". Perhaps that's why I haven't felt much like posting. I'm hoping the change will help me feel a bit more inspired to post. I haven't stopped crafting, although there's been some moments when I've lost my inspiration, I guess you'd call it "crafter's block"? Well, with the holidays coming I should be more inspired and posting some stuff. I have discovered a few new things I didn't know how to do last time I was here, and I'd like to share that soon. Here is my first toilet paper roll mini album. I was trying to do the challenge over at Paper Cutz challenge blog, but I just missed the deadline! My daughter and I aren't feeling too well, leaving me not much time at night to do anything. It would have been my first challenge ever, but I guess I'll try again next time! I'm glad I made this any way. It definitely was a challenge to think summer in the midst of the cold winter!! I don't think I'll be doing another one of these TP albums, they're kind of annoying to work with. I don't know how much time I spent trying to flatten those things and they still seem to pop back up. There is also not a lot of room to work with, so you've got to cut things small. I used all DCWV paper except for some scraps here and there. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this, I suppose I'll take pictures of my kids this summer and slide them into the tiny frames!S is for Summer of course!U is for Under the seaM is for munching on watermelonsM is for making sandcastlesE is for enjoying cold drinks

Thinking of words/phrases that started with the letters helped me to figure out what to put in this album. Thanks for looking and I apologize for the bad pictures and horrible layout of this post! It's late and I'm half awake and for some reason I'm having trouble-wonder what it could be (LOL!).

I'm excited to actually have a blog, so this is my first effort at loading an image. I hope I can delete it if it doesn't work out. This is a Halloween card I made with the A Child's Year Cricut cartridge.
